Business letters is used in a
lot fields and is a very important component in a person's
professional life. In order to write a business letter there
are some rules to follow.
Format of business
letter: While writing a business letter, it is important
to follow some standard set of rules. Some points and elements
are often neglected. The basic format of a business letter
includes a Letterhead which is the heading of the letter. Phone
number or any other contact number and address are followed
after that. Date is very important as it signifies the
emergency of the letter. Inside address should be written with
salutation and appropriate punctuations (like semi colon). The
next step is the body text which finishes with a complimentary
closing that respects the reader. It should have proper
punctuations. In the end type your name and sign the letter
stating your approval.
Layout of the
letter: The layout should have a visual appeal to the
reader. It should not be rusty that will turn off the
reader. The letter should
have a proper balance and should not be scrabbled and
unorganized. It will bring a lot of discomfort to the reader.
